Methodist Approach to Stewardship
John Wesley urged those in connection with him to "Earn all you can and save all you can, so that you can give all that you can." He modeled modest living and sacrificial giving. Wesley made sure those early classes of "methodists" took weekly offerings for outreach.
Today, we United Methodists join others to help all of God's children ...wherever and whenever we can. Just as Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes when the crowd grew hungry. Through our congregation, we are the heart, spirit, and hands of God's outreaching love. |

Practicing Good Stewardship
How can you learn and practice good Christian Stewardship?
- Pray about your giving to God's ministries
- Model the humility and generosity God calls you to exhibit
- Set up a schedule to eventually reach full tithing, or tithe one week every month
- Give your time, talents and financial resources to growing God's kingdom
- Consider donations through the Trinity Foundation
- Consider donations through the Welcoming the Future capital campaign

WAYS TO GIVE
We offer a variety of ways to give to Trinity United Methodist Church. Some individuals and families chose to donate through cash, stocks, or other tangable assets. If you have any questions, please contact our Business Office at 409-892-8121 x 118 or email the Business office.
The easiest way to give is to simply make your check payable to Trinity United Methodist Church and mail the check to the church. Please note on the check if the funds are to be credited to a special project or fund. The mailing address for the church is:

WHAT TO GIVE TO
When making a donation to Trinity United Methodist Church you have several options for giving.
General Fund: Contributions are used to support the general operating budget of the church.
Honorariums and Memorials: A way to show appreciation and respect to a special person. All donations given in honor or memory go to the Trinity Foundation, unless a person or family makes a special designation. When making a donation as an honorarium or memorial, please include the name of person being remembered or honored.
Welcoming the Future: Contributions to this fund support our 2006 capital campaign. This campaign helped put a new roof on the church, built a 6,000 sq. ft nursery, re-designed & improved the youth facilities, and built a new playground.
Trinity Foundation: The foundation is the planned giving ministry of Trinity. This is an asset-based foundation, which accepts and manages contributions intended for the long-term operation of Trinity United Methodist Church |
