Lent
Lent is a time of preparation and self-examination. It is a period of forty days that starts on Ash Wednesday. We invite you to take time during this season to grow in your faith, worship, pray, and come to know God’s word in new ways.
Worship During Lent
Ash Wednesday services will be held on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM.
Palm Sunday will be observed on March 28th. During the 10:30 service all children process into the sanctuary in a Palm Parade. This day marks the beginning of Holy Week and Jesus' entry into Jeruselum.
Taize Service is a contemplative form of worship filled with scripture readings and simple, meditative music. The Taize service will be held on March 31st at 6:30 PM.
Holy Thursday Service On Thursday, April 1st at 7:00 PM we will observe Holy Communion and remember Jesus lasts supper on earth.
Good Friday Service Friday, April 2nd at 7:00 PM we will have a service of darkness.
Easter Sunday, April 4th two identical celebrations at 8:15 and 10:30 AM.
As always,
Refresh worship will be held each Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Dishman Chapel. This 30-minute service includes prayer, music, a brief homily, and communion.
Each Sunday we invite you to worship at either 8:15 AM or 10:30 AM.
Lenten Studies
Know God. Be Transformed. Love.
This is Trinity's new mission statement and the theme of our mid-week Lenten Bible Studies. We will spend two weeks exploring each of the statements. The mid-week Lenten Bible Studies will be held on Wednesdays at noon and on Monday evenings at 6:30 PM. There is no charge for thes studies and childcare is available by reservation. The Wednesday class begins on February 17th. The evening class begins on February 22nd. To register for one of the mid-week classes, click here.
24 Hours that Changed the World
We will be offering a six-week Lenten Study on Sunday mornings this year. The class begins on Sunday, February 22nd. The group will be reading and discussing the book 24 Hours that Changed the World by Adam Hamilton. This each week participants will examine a different event that happened in the last 24 hours of Jesus earlthly life. The study includes a video component that was filmed in the Holy Land.
If you have never participated in a small group or Sunday School class this is an excellent opportunity to learn and be a part of a short-term class. All are invited to join the study. The study is at 9:15 AM. Sunday School is available for children and youth. Childcare is avilable for children under 2 years of age.
